AGHS Dance Team

About Us

As a  dance team, we participate in all parades such as Halloween, Veterans Day, Light Up Night, and Memorial Day. We also get to dance during pregame and halftime during football games. Being on dance team is not only a place for dancing, but a place to make friendships that last forever. Dancing on the field during halftime is one of the most amazing experiences especially when you are surrounded by people you love and love you. Although dance team is an experience like no other, it comes with hard work and challenges. Band camp and band rehearsals can become difficult and tiring, but it is all worth it every performance. Dance team is also a place to learn life lessons. You learn perseverance, teamwork, and discipline. You even grow your passion for dance by doing something you have never done before! Within every section of the band comes a section leader. Being a section leader for the dance team comes with all new experiences and challenges. Leaders are the motivator and guide of their team. Patience is key when being a leader. It can be frustrating and overwhelming because almost every dancer will have a different dance background and not dance like you. It can also be difficult at times trying to break down routines and reading drill during band camp. Through all of these struggles, seeing your dance team become amazing and look great on field is a victory like no other. Overall, dance team welcomes anyone who would like to tryout and become apart of our family!
