AGHS Concert Band
The AGHS concert band meets daily Monday through Friday during pd 10, and is the second component of the course titled BAND. Concert band begins rehearsing in mid October as Marching band begins to wind down for the year.
The concert band performs two concerts during the school year: one in December and one in May. The December concert this year will be a joint concert with the AGHS Choral department, and will be held in the high school gymnasium.
The Spring concert is exclusively instrumental, but features not only the concert band, but also our award winning Jazz ensemble, and chamber ensemble.
This course is designed to teach students the musical skills necessary to perform a variety of musical styles in a specific setting. Students are required to audition for chairs at the start of each semester. Look below for videos of our previous concerts.
