Bass Guitar Auditions
Please prepare one of the pieces linked below to perform virtually or in person!
2023 Field Show Music for Bass
In person auditions:
Please stop to see Mr. Durso in the Band room to schedule a time during the school day to audition by May 1st 2023.
Virtual auditions:
Please submit a video of yourself performing to [email protected] (must use your school account to send) by May 12th 2023. Your hands MUST be visible in the recording. You may use a phone, laptop, camcorder, or anything that records both video and audio to record. Record as many takes as you need to get a great one! You may use an amp if you have one but it is not required as long as your bass or guitar can be heard clearly in the video.
We do not need perfection!!! We are just looking for a display of what skill you have!!!

If you are not familiar with reading sheet music, that is ok! Although all band music is presented using traditional notation, it is an easy language to learn and we will teach you. Here are some videos exercises and charts to help convert sheet music to tabs:
