AGHS Marching Band |
The AGHS marching band is the first component of the course entitled BAND. Marching band is co-curricular, which means that it is both a class and an extra curricular activity. All instrumentalists must enroll in band as a course to participate. Auxiliary, however, should only enroll if they plan to participate in concert band as well. The AGHS marching band performs at each varsity football game, and at the Laurel Highlands band festival. In addition to performing the field show, the Colonial marching band marches in multiple parades throughout the year. The Marching band begins rehearsing in June and holds its band camp during the last week of July and the first week of August. The band also rehearses steadily though the fall both during school and after. Check the calendar regularly for rehearsals and performances.
